Fluorescent Summer

This is one of my tunes that features on Summer Booty 2010 which has just hit the shelves! It uses the Arctic Monkeys instrumental from 'Fluorescent Adolescent' mashed with vocals from Ace of Base 'Cruel Summer'. Listen above or click the picture to download.

More great news.......this tune's just made John Sakamoto's Anti-hit list over at the Toronto Star:

9. Arctic Monkeys vs. Ace of Base

“Fluorescent Summer”

Proving yet again that the line between tragically hip indie rock and derisively dismissed mainstream pop is about thiswide, this mash-up reconciles the acclaimed British band’s “Fluorescent Adolescent” and the affectionately recalled Swedish act’s cover of Bananarama’s “Cruel Summer” without straining a single muscle. The result is bubblegum with street cred.

It's also had some national airplay on Spain's RTVE Radio 3!

The Dream Thing

Having just return from a few weeks at the beach I thought a cool electro/funk vibe would go down nicely. The tunes fuses vocals from Empire of the Sun's 'Walking on a Dream' with Vanessa Williams 'The Real Thing'.

Love Will Bring Us Together

A bit of a change of pace for this tune. Using the classic 80's RnB intrumental 'Back Together Again' from Donny Hathaway & Roberta Flack mashed with vocals from Whitney Houston's 'Love Will Save The Day' and Black Eyed Peas 'Shut Up'.

Buddy's Love Tunnel

Having a bit of fun with this one- I think the title came before the tune actually. It's Fun Boy Three's 80's tune 'Tunnel Of Love' (reworked a little) with vocals from Weezer's 'Buddy Holly'.
